Frequently Asked
Questions
What is High Speed
Networking?
You may have heard the term 'speed networking' bandied about
a lot recently. It's become a very popular and fast growing
form of business
networking and growing your business. So how does
speed networking work?
Well, you may have heard of speed dating, it’s exactly the same
principle just adapted for business. Attendees are seated in
pairs and each one has between 2 and 7 minutes (this
varies depending on the event) to introduce themselves and what
they do. Participants will share business cards, history and
offer new contacts with valuable information about their
business. For example some of the information shared:
- Who do you know that might need their services?
- Who has a similar client base?
- Who might like to exchange client leads with them?
- How might each company do business with each
other?
- Can you introduce them to anyone who can help
them?
At the end of the time frame an alarm sounds and one of the
parties moves to the next person until everyone has had a
chance to meet. It’s an excellent way for people who find
business
networking difficult, to meet others. It also
breaks the ice for any general networking which might follow
afterwards and gets around the age old problem of business
networking events of only talking to people you
already know.

What Should I
bring?
Although you don't have to bring anything other than your
self and the knowledge of your business, it is suggested that
you do bring some of these items;
- Business cards
- Brochures
- Notepad (for taking notes on other businesses)
- Something to write with of course!
- Appointment book
Remember that we will be providing some basic forms with
